Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arnaldo Montae got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Perú's zone, Higinio Dacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moises Cordarrel came out of the goal and Higinio Dacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9thth minute of the game Arnaldo Montae who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A Costa Azul's Maximo Lauro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximo Lauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Tabby in the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A Costa Azul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonides Berbiz was slow to take the kick. During this time Perú's players had a chance to rest. Leonides Berbiz made a great header on Perú's corner, it was just that C.A Costa Azul's Maximo Lauro managed to reach the ball for a save. David Trezeguet's late challenge caught a Perú's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Trezeguet helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, C.A Costa Azul's David Trezeguet got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The supporters of C.A Costa Azul booed when Perú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, David Trezeguet put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Moises Cordarrel. Ruperto Bernard kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, C.A Costa Azul's Cristobal Gaitan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Perú's Moises Cordarrel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Perú from getting a goal against them.

Moises Cordarrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Trezeguet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Cordarrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Sá in the 52nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Polentzi got free with Maximo Lauro in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C.A Costa Azul's Ceferino Piorno was substituted for Federico Palben. After 68 minutes of play, C.A Costa Azul's Higinio Dacio made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Moises Cordarrel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Perú's Moises Cordarrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Dacio in the 73rd minute of play. When Perú's Arnaldo Montae in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A Costa Azul's goalie prevented a goal. 76 minutes into the match, Perú's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Dacio came free, but Moises Cordarrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, C.A Costa Azul's Higinio Dacio got a free kick in the 77th minute. With a little luck, C.A Costa Azul's Maximo Lauro got control of the ball when Orlando Tabby tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximo Lauro made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Mauricio Polentzi sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, C.A Costa Azul's Ceferino Piorno got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute, Orlando Tabby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Perú's zone, Tomás Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moises Cordarrel came out of the goal and Tomás Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, C.A Costa Azul's Cristobal Gaitan got a free kick in the 95th minute. C.A Costa Azul walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
