In the 5th minute Higinio Dacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Firme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When David Trezeguet fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A Costa Azul's protests and gave David Trezeguet a yellow card for diving instead. David Trezeguet kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Maximo Lauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Orlondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Maximo Lauro made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate sent off a good shot on target. Elvio Firme came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A Costa Azul's Higinio Dacio. But to his dismay, Higinio Dacio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Elvio Firme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Dacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Gaitan kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Orlondo in the 21st minute of play forced C.A Costa Azul's goalkeeper Maximo Lauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, C.A Costa Azul's David Trezeguet got a free kick in the 25th minute. Faustino Olando hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, C.A Costa Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Orlondo came free, but Maximo Lauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Higinio Dacio notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of General Roca's Elvio Firme. Elvio Firme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the match, C.A Costa Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Orlondo came free, but Maximo Lauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elvio Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Gaitan in the 66th minute of play. With a little luck, General Roca's Elvio Firme got control of the ball when Tomás Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Sá got free with Elvio Firme in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elvio Firme made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cristobal Gaitan sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, General Roca's goal looked a bit too open when David Trezeguet came free, but Elvio Firme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Higinio Dacio notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of General Roca's Elvio Firme. Elvio Firme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Javier Abadia kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Orlondo in the 96th minute of play forced C.A Costa Azul's goalkeeper Maximo Lauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C.A Costa Azul eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
