Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Warnes's Denis Feliz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the game, Emanuel Ortiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INDEPENDIENTE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warnes the free kick. In the 9th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Edgard Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Vladimiro Vigil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulises Dacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Txindoki in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Warnes booed when INDEPENDIENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Gaizko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualterio Navarro hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Warnes's goalkeeper Edgard Iigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Ortiz. Jonatan Txindoki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warnes's Astor Joanes got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

After 56 played minutes Warnes got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Theodore. Warnes's Edgard Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Ortiz in the 58th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Warnes's Ulises Dacio threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Denis Feliz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ulises Dacio made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Denis Feliz sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, INDEPENDIENTE's Ulises Dacio got control of the ball when Denis Feliz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgard Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ulises Dacio made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Denis Feliz sent off a good shot on target. Hugo Herensuge hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Edgard Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emiliano Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Iigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Ortiz went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Warnes! Edgard Iigo came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by INDEPENDIENTE's Vladimiro Vigil. But to his dismay, Vladimiro Vigil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The INDEPENDIENTE players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
