In the 4th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Gorri to maneuver through the defense. LosRanaPola's Maximo Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Vigil in the 7th minute of play. Ulises Dacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Niguel, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 20th minute, Emanuel Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximo Vela was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Emanuel Ortiz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maximo Vela. The goal made the score 2-0. Emiliano Gorri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Maximo Vela made a huge save. If Vladimiro Vigil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Ortiz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Maximo Vela skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 42 minutes, Carolo Gaizko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INDEPENDIENTE and the LosRanaPola players grew even worse after the yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelino Niguel was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, INDEPENDIENTE's Emanuel Ortiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximo Vela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Maximo Vela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Ortiz's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Claudio Xacintu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60thth minute of the game Marcelino Niguel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INDEPENDIENTE's Ulises Dacio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anibal Pero's late challenge caught a LosRanaPola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anibal Pero helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to INDEPENDIENTE getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Anibal Pero hit a great ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Sixto Raebert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LosRanaPola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Raebert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vladimiro Vigil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximo Vela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Ortiz in the 79th minute of the match. After some careless play in the LosRanaPola defense, Emanuel Ortiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Vela. The LosRanaPola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Vela should have stopped the shot. Emiliano Gorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulises Dacio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sixto Raebert in the 95th minute. LosRanaPola's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
