The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Los Triperos booed when C. A. Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Sasoin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Triperos were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after C. A. Atlanta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Justino Lesardo took the corner. Leonides Igon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Primo in the 26th minute of play forced Los Triperos's goalkeeper Georg Krooni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th match minute, C. A. Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Eguzki to maneuver through the defense. Georg Krooni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Primo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C. A. Atlanta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teodoro Primo in the 31st minute. C. A. Atlanta's Teodoro Primo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Georg Krooni in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, C. A. Atlanta's Tony Guimarães got control of the ball when Arturo Baldovino tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Los Triperos getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ruben Nafarroa hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the game, Hector Tanio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Triperos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Atlanta the free kick. After a rather tough play, Los Triperos's Hector Tanio got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Sixto Manilan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodoro Primo made a kick off. After a rather tough play, C. A. Atlanta's Teodoro Primo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Arturo Baldovino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Triperos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Baldovino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Octavio Blanco kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, C. A. Atlanta's Eliseo Sasoin got a free kick in the 58th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Baldovino in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony Guimarães saved C. A. Atlanta from getting behind. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Arturo Baldovino sped through C. A. Atlanta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tony Guimarães. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Atlanta's zone, Arturo Baldovino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Guimarães came out of the goal and Arturo Baldovino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th match minute, Los Triperos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Igon to maneuver through the defense. Georg Krooni came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Atlanta's Teodoro Primo. But to his dismay, Teodoro Primo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 70 minutes into the game, Teodoro Primo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Georg Krooni. Teodoro Primo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Everardo Rio kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Federico Gil charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Gil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute, Everardo Rio made a precise shot to the right of Georg Krooni. Los Triperos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Sasoin during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Los Triperos booed when C. A. Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Sasoin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Los Triperos supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C. A. Atlanta's performance. The match ended with a win for C. A. Atlanta.
