Michael Scofield hit a great ball. If Michael Scofield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Solari in the 32nd minute of play forced Pilar's goalkeeper Ovidio Cristos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melquiades Maldonado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Rios, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Pilar's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Giro came free, but Ovidio Cristos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Silvestre Giro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ostendi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pilar the free kick. Silvestre Giro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Ostendi's Melquiades Maldonado got control of the ball when Emiliano Ralondo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Pilar booed when Ostendi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Marino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Ralondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 played minutes Pilar got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Candia. Pilar's Emiliano Ralondo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melquiades Maldonado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Rios in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rdth minute of the game Emiliano Ralondo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ostendi's Melquiades Maldonado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabio Laurgain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Cristos having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Higinio Marino during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Ostendi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Marino to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Michael Scofield made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Maldonado. Ostendi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
