Pedro Normando made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Nicolás Capaldo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Ferdinand in the 14th minute of play forced Mangrullo AFC's goalkeeper Pedro Normando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivar Petersson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 17th playminute. In the 20th minute, Leon Txilar had to leave the field with a concussion. Remigio Urki's late challenge caught a Mangrullo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigio Urki helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, CanarioMza's Remigio Urki got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Mangrullo AFC's Aquiles Gaufred sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Habib Şenyurt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ivar Petersson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Normando when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carlos Sabino hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Honorio Ferdinand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Pedro Normando made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivar Petersson to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes, Javier Ralondo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mangrullo AFC and the CanarioMza players grew even worse after the yellow card. Javier Ralondo hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. CanarioMza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zbyszko Ciempa in the 53rd minute. CanarioMza's Zbyszko Ciempa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Normando in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Remigio Urki kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Mangrullo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Ferdinand came free, but Pedro Normando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Honorio Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Javier Ralondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangrullo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Ralondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Habib Şenyurt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute Honorio Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Normando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kim Melberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Nicolás Capaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Palben struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Habib Şenyurt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mangrullo AFC. After 89 played minutes CanarioMza got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Petersson. After 91 played minutes CanarioMza got a freekick which was hit by Gústaf Costa. Desiderio Rami's late challenge caught a CanarioMza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Desiderio Rami helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CanarioMza booed when Mangrullo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Rami didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miltos Chatzistavrou hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. CanarioMza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
