Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rodolfo Leheren kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the match, Lanus's Ángel Labruna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualterio Erramun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gualterio Erramun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Leheren in the 9th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Lanus got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Abad. Gonzalo Leheren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gaston Chuan firmly grabbed it by the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Cipriano Edwardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gualterio Erramun. Pirané's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cipriano Edwardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Leheren in the 21st minute of play forced Pirané's goalkeeper Gualterio Erramun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Pierres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaston Chuan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Pirané's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Edwardo came free, but Gualterio Erramun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Abel Acuña came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Pirané fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Acuña couldn't finish the play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Rodolfo Leheren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirané's Gualterio Erramun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Rodolfo Leheren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualterio Erramun was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Leheren in the 40th minute of play forced Pirané's goalkeeper Gualterio Erramun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Farrell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gualterio Erramun made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Ángel Labruna sent off a good shot on target. Gualterio Erramun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Edwardo in the 63rd minute of the match. Lanus's Gaston Chuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Farrell in the 65th minute of play. Gaston Chuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Pierres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pirané were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Lanus's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erubiel Berbiz took the corner. Mario Leoiar made a great header on Pirané's corner, it was just that Lanus's Gaston Chuan managed to reach the ball for a save. Gonzalo Leheren might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaston Chuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonzalo Leheren ran back to his position shaking his head. Lanus's Gaston Chuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Leheren in the 71st minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Ángel Labruna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gualterio Erramun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Lanus's zone, Gualterio Pierres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Chuan came out of the goal and Gualterio Pierres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Edwardo's late challenge caught a Pirané's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Edwardo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lanus getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Cipriano Edwardo hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Pirané's goalkeeper Gualterio Erramun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ángel Labruna. 96 minutes into the game, Ángel Labruna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gualterio Erramun. Ángel Labruna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The Pirané fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lanus were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
