Rodd Price charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodd Price the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd match minute, Woodley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodd Price to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the game, Yo-Yo Aria FC's Ben Purkiss nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaz Newman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Abraham Preston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 11 minutes into the game, Jason Leach was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woodley United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yo-Yo Aria FC the free kick. The supporters of Yo-Yo Aria FC booed when Woodley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Leach didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Ben Purkiss put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gaz Newman. In the 17th match minute, Yo-Yo Aria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Preston to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Gaz Newman throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ben Purkiss in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Frankie Myers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Gaz Newman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ben Purkiss in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gaz Newman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 31 minutes, Jude Endean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Woodley United and the Yo-Yo Aria FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaz Newman was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Ben Purkiss capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ben Purkiss really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Gaz Newman made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Frankie Myers sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute, Yo-Yo Aria FC's Frankie Myers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gaz Newman. Gaz Newman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. In the 47th minute, Jude Endean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reno Cimas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jude Endean made a kick off. Gaz Newman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Purkiss, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Gaz Newman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abraham Preston went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Woodley United's Gaz Newman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Langsford in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Frankie Myers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yo-Yo Aria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frankie Myers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Abraham Preston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaz Newman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frankie Myers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaz Newman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Purkiss in the 80th minute of the match. Ben Purkiss spun around in front of the goal 82 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Woodley United's goal. In the 84thth minute of the game Frankie Myers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Woodley United's Gaz Newman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Nicholas Langsford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yo-Yo Aria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Woodley United the free kick. The supporters of Woodley United booed when Yo-Yo Aria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Langsford didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Purkiss in the 95th minute of play forced Woodley United's goalkeeper Gaz Newman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Abraham Preston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaz Newman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaz Newman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ben Purkiss's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Yo-Yo Aria FC fully deserved thier win.
