Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Brák Vopnafirði booed when Máni Mjóifirði was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tandri Reynaldsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Máni Mjóifirði's goalkeeper Bekan Halsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eldgrímur Þorgerisson. Ástþór Víkingsson took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sigurgestur Valbergsson. Sigurgestur Valbergsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Alfreð Ingimarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sveinjón Darrason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Sigurgestur Valbergsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Ástþór Víkingsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigurgestur Valbergsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes Brák Vopnafirði got a freekick which was hit by Þórleifur Þorbergsson. After having played for 18 minutes, Ástþór Víkingsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Máni Mjóifirði's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ástþór Víkingsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sigurgestur Valbergsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ástþór Víkingsson's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Ástþór Víkingsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigurgestur Valbergsson having to interfere. If Sveinjón Darrason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 minutes, Markþór Darrason mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brák Vopnafirði and the Máni Mjóifirði players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brák Vopnafirði's Markþór Darrason got a free kick in the 31st minute. Ástþór Víkingsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigurgestur Valbergsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sveinjón Darrason's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Ástþór Víkingsson made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Máni Mjóifirði got a freekick which was hit by Alfreð Ingimarsson. 53 minutes into the match, Brák Vopnafirði's Arnfreyr Arndórsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that Ástþór Víkingsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sigurgestur Valbergsson was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Sigurgestur Valbergsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ástþór Víkingsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eldgrímur Þorgerisson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bekan Halsson having to make a save. The Brák Vopnafirði fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Brák Vopnafirði's Markþór Darrason looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sveinjón Darrason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigurgestur Valbergsson having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Brák Vopnafirði could leave the field as winners, despite Máni Mjóifirði having more of the ball for most of the match.
