Nova Varoš OFK were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after FK Banja's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Velimir Bajalica took the corner. After taking down the ball on Nova Varoš OFK's corner Velimir Bajalica fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stefan Gutić quite easily take care of the ball. Bojan Tujković's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stefan Gutić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Ratimir Krstović hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Stefan Gutić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bojan Tujković in the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to FK Banja getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ratimir Krstović hit a great ball. Velimir Bajalica was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bojan Tujković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Nova Varoš OFK getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nikola Šuput hit a great ball. Aleksandar Božanić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Srđa Vujaković having to interfere. If Krsta Cvejić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Miodrag Momić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Aleksandar Božanić made the kick off in the second half. When Krsta Cvejić came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the FK Banja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krsta Cvejić couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FK Banja booed when Nova Varoš OFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Živan Danojević didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ljuba Bilibajkič hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Srđa Vujaković took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksandar Božanić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bojan Tujković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Banja's goalkeeper Stefan Gutić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bojan Tujković got free with Stefan Gutić in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FK Banja's Stefan Gutić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save FK Banja from getting a goal against them. Nova Varoš OFK's Bojan Tujković got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FK Banja's Krsta Cvejić got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stefan Gutić made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Bojan Tujković sent off a good shot on target. Ljuba Bilibajkič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FK Banja's Stefan Gutić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save FK Banja from getting a goal against them. Krsta Cvejić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ljuba Bilibajkič charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ljuba Bilibajkič the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FK Banja succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Nova Varoš OFK had controlled the match.
