In the 4th minute, Atlético Beograd's Svetolik Đinović seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Svetolik Đinović the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Atlético Beograd protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Svetolik Đinović had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Svetolik Đinović hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Mladen Čojić struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Bojan Šorgić kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Cerovac's Slaviša Timotić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Božo Joković made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Radovan Denić came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Beograd's Bojan Šorgić. But to his dismay, Bojan Šorgić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Miroslav Šimanić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radovan Denić having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Atlético Beograd's Ignjatije Tutorić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radovan Denić narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Atlético Beograd's Ignjatije Tutorić got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Miroslav Šimanić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cerovac's Veselin Todić got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Jevta Mijac came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Atlético Beograd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jevta Mijac couldn't finish the play. Ignjatije Tutorić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 minutes, Veselin Todić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cerovac and the Atlético Beograd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ignjatije Tutorić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Njegosav Popović in the 41st minute of play forced Atlético Beograd's goalkeeper Božo Joković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Miroslav Šimanić came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Atlético Beograd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miroslav Šimanić couldn't finish the play. Srba Kuvekalović hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miroslav Šimanić to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cerovac's Slaviša Timotić got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Jezdimir Kulić fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerovac's protests and gave Jezdimir Kulić a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Jezdimir Kulić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ignjatije Tutorić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Veselin Todić kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Ignjatije Tutorić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jezdimir Kulić kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When Njegosav Popović came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Cerovac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Njegosav Popović couldn't finish the play. Miroslav Šimanić had several of the Cerovac's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Radovan Denić as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ignjatije Tutorić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Radovan Denić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignjatije Tutorić went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute Njegosav Popović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Božo Joković saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slaviša Timotić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radovan Denić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignjatije Tutorić in the 92nd minute of play. During the 97th minute of the match Jezdimir Kulić completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jezdimir Kulić a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jezdimir Kulić hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Atlético Beograd left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cerovac.
