Evan Herd started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evan Herd in the 3rd minute of play forced Neath Utd's goalkeeper Lovel Bailie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blathaon Caldwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lovel Bailie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 minutes, Gwyddawg Beckett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newtown and the Neath Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gwyddawg Beckett hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Govan Bethel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Newtown's Dyvyr Garland. Dyvyr Garland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dyvyr Garland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Newtown's goal looked a bit too open when Sugyn Fitzjohn came free, but Dyvyr Garland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dyvyr Garland didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Neath Utd's Govan Bethel shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Blathaon Caldwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lovel Bailie having to interfere. Evan Herd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lovel Bailie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lovel Bailie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evan Herd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sugyn Fitzjohn made the kick off in the second half. If Sugyn Fitzjohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Newtown booed when Neath Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greidyawl Halton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evan Herd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lovel Bailie having to interfere. Neath Utd's Lovel Bailie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blathaon Caldwell in the 62nd minute of play. Sugyn Fitzjohn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gwyddawg Beckett got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Blathaon Caldwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Govan Bethel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Newtown's Blathaon Caldwell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lovel Bailie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lovel Bailie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kynlas Lazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Dyvyr Garland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sugyn Fitzjohn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Govan Bethel got free with Dyvyr Garland in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sugyn Fitzjohn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neath Utd's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
