The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Sugyn Fitzjohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. Lovel Bailie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Goreu Eccleston in the 9th minute of the match. Govan Bethel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tadeusz Nowak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sun By The Sea's Kent Boggs got a free kick in the 18th minute. Bors Hand charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bors Hand the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Sun By The Sea's Odgar Deanly in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Neath Utd's goalie prevented a goal. Govan Bethel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Sugyn Fitzjohn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neath Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sugyn Fitzjohn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Kent Boggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeusz Nowak was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sugyn Fitzjohn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Lovel Bailie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odgar Deanly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sugyn Fitzjohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sugyn Fitzjohn to make the kick off. With a little luck, Neath Utd's Lovel Bailie got control of the ball when Odgar Deanly tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Odgar Deanly got free with Lovel Bailie in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sun By The Sea's Goreu Eccleston was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 89th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sun By The Sea eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
