With his leg Awstin Canning managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Bridgend's Llyr Hussey fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Keith Fishbourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Awstin Canning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes of play, Bridgend's Llyr Hussey made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Awstin Canning was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keith Fishbourne made a kick off. Awstin Canning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glew Brickin, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Kenyon Cox took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Awstin Canning. Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Caerwyn Fielding hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Keith Fishbourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bridgend booed when Cosa Nostra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomos Coe didn't get a good kick on the ball.
