The goalkeeper, Tarrant Hamilton, was totally fooled by Aberystwyth's Evrei Coe, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Inek Tipstaff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Aberystwyth booed when Lampeter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gruffen John didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Iowerth Hayward came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Lampeter fans jumped to their feet. The tension between the Lampeter and the Aberystwyth players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lampeter's Math Fowler got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Iowerth Hayward struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Nerth Biggs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lampeter. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Iowerth Hayward's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nerth Biggs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Aglovale Crowl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lampeter's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aglovale Crowl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Accalon Cupp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tarrant Hamilton having to make a save. When Inek Tipstaff, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 68 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tarrant Hamilton was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Inek Tipstaff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tarrant Hamilton. Lampeter's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inek Tipstaff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
