Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Robbie McTary made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Hamilton's goalkeeper Jordan Cookson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davie Caw. The audience was convinced that Frank Hastings's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David McVinish was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. A hard shot 8 in the game by Davie Caw from a close distance when the talented Jordan Cookson managed to make a qualified save. Hamilton's players were relieved. After 9 played minutes Hamilton got a freekick which was hit by Conor McMorran. Davie Caw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordan Cookson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbie McTary in the 22nd minute of play forced Livingston's goalkeeper David McVinish to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David McVinish came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Hamilton's Frank Hastings. But to his dismay, Frank Hastings quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 31 minutes into the match, Hamilton's goalkeeper Jordan Cookson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davie Caw. Davie Caw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jordan Cookson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ivan Hewitt came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Livingston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Hewitt couldn't finish the play. Davie Caw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Davie Caw might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jordan Cookson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davie Caw ran back to his position shaking his head. Lloyd Kennedy hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Angus Cooper in the 45th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the David McVinish's left hand side. In the 46th minute, Les Sorely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Hastings in the 48th minute of play forced Livingston's goalkeeper David McVinish to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Hamilton were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ivan Hewitt made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Hamilton's Conor McMorran got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Davie Caw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordan Cookson having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Hamilton got a freekick which was hit by Steve Gillespie. Robbie McTary who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of David McVinish when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Livingston's Steve Sime got a free kick in the 59th minute. Ryan McPhun charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ryan McPhun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Livingston booed when Hamilton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan McPhun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamilton's Jordan Cookson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davie Caw in the 64th minute of play. Conor McMorran kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roddie Spittel during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes Livingston got a freekick which was hit by Roddie Spittel. 72 minutes into the match, Hamilton's Angus Cooper broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Livingston's David McVinish proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Livingston from getting a goal against them. After having played for 86 minutes, Robbie McTary managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hamilton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robbie McTary was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hamilton's Frank Hastings got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Davie Caw came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Livingston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davie Caw couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Hamilton's Robbie McTary ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David McVinish. David McVinish yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The Livingston supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hamilton's performance. The match ended with a win for Hamilton.
