Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Timmy McLachlan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mallaig FC's Joshua Kinnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy McLachlan in the 3rd minute of play. In the 13th minute Mike Thain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher McClymont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute Ronan Cunningham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher McClymont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Cunningham in the 23rd minute of play forced Burntisland's goalkeeper Christopher McClymont to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Burntisland's Timmy McLachlan got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick McRobb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Joshua Kinnell made a huge save. Patrick McRobb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Joshua Kinnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timmy McLachlan struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Joshua Kinnell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burntisland. Patrick McRobb's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Joshua Kinnell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mallaig FC's goalkeeper Joshua Kinnell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ronan Cunningham's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher McClymont read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Mike Thain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mallaig FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Timmy McLachlan scored to the left of an out of position Joshua Kinnell, making the score, 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mike Thain to strike the kick off in the second half. Christopher McClymont was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Iain Ashmore. After 55 played minutes Burntisland got a freekick which was hit by Stuart Byers. In the 56th minute, Mallaig FC's Ronan Cunningham dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Mike Thain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Christopher McClymont tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, Mallaig FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Huntly to maneuver through the defense. Timmy McLachlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joshua Kinnell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Mallaig FC's Oliver Meine tried to score from far away in the 75th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burntisland's goalkeeper Christopher McClymont, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mallaig FC's Joshua Kinnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy McLachlan in the 79th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Mike Thain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mallaig FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Thain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher McClymont breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ronan Cunningham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Burntisland! The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronan Cunningham got free with Christopher McClymont in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mallaig FC's Joshua Kinnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy McLachlan in the 96th minute of play. Patrick McRobb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joshua Kinnell having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
