Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Barry Cottrill kicked off to start the match. Walter Bontine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Cottrill in the 3rd minute of play. If Darius McMonies had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terence King kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Forfar City's Simon McIlvride couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rogart FC. Wayne Stevenson made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Chris Stalker sent off a good shot on target. After 15 minutes Forfar City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Graeme Bowie who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Rogart FC's Andy Berry to fire away a dangerous shot which Wayne Stevenson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kieran Gibson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Stevenson having to interfere. A collision led to Forfar City getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Irvin Elder hit a great ball. After 21 minutes of play, Forfar City's Barry Cottrill made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walter Bontine was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Rogart FC booed when Forfar City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davie McGhie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Kenny McKiggan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rogart FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forfar City the free kick. In the 28th minute, Kenny McKiggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Darius McMonies had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irvin Elder's late challenge caught a Rogart FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irvin Elder helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, Forfar City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irvin Elder to maneuver through the defense. If Chris Stalker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogart FC's Graeme Bowie couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Forfar City. A collision led to Rogart FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Darius Griesck hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kieran Gibson was the one to do the kick off. Darius McMonies received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Walter Bontine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Stalker in the 60th minute of play forced Forfar City's goalkeeper Wayne Stevenson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Irvin Elder got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Kieran Gibson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Darius McMonies sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wayne Stevenson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Robinson in the 86th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
