Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Malcolm Connell started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gavin McNeish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Connell, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The audience was convinced that Ronald Mein's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chris Morren was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. With a little luck, Ballachulish FC's Gavin McNeish got control of the ball when Steven McCloy tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Steven McCloy fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linlithgow United's protests and gave Steven McCloy a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Linlithgow United getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Steven McCloy hit a great ball. Willie McGaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Morren having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ronald Mein's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chris Morren was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Linlithgow United's Chris Morren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Mein in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Willie McGaw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballachulish FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willie McGaw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Linlithgow United's zone, Ronald Mein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chris Morren came out of the goal and Ronald Mein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronald Mein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronald Mein to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Linlithgow United defense, Willie McGaw kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chris Morren. The Linlithgow United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chris Morren should have stopped the shot. If Ronald Mein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Willie McGaw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Willie McGaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willie McGaw got free with Chris Morren in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Les McWalter kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Linlithgow United's goal looked a bit too open when Gavin Nish came free, but Chris Morren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Linlithgow United's Chris Morren got control of the ball when Willie McGaw tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Chris Morren managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Ballachulish FC's Gordon McCash fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Willie McGaw recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Willie McGaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willie McGaw got free with Chris Morren in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Ballachulish FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Linlithgow United.
