Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) If Norman Davies had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Les McConnechy was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and John Hughson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. John Hughson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. John Hughson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Les McConnechy having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Norman Davies managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stornoway FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norman Davies was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Les McConnechy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 minutes, Darren McKail mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballygrant City and the Stornoway FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, one of Ballygrant City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballygrant City. 29 minutes into the game, Richard McNeish was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stornoway FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballygrant City the free kick. After 29 played minutes Stornoway FC got a freekick which was hit by Richard McNeish. The supporters of Ballygrant City booed when Stornoway FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norman Davies didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicholas Meine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jack McShimes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicholas Meine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Les McConnechy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Hughson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Max McAndeoir kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when John Hughson made the kick off in the second half. Nicholas Meine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack McShimes having to interfere. Les McConnechy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman Davies, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute John Hughson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Les McConnechy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alistair Ellwood hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ballygrant City! The referee gave Stornoway FC a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Les McHardy, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ballygrant City's Les McConnechy. 2-0. With a little luck, Stornoway FC's Jack McShimes got control of the ball when Mark Masterson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stornoway FC's goalkeeper Jack McShimes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jack McShimes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alistair Ellwood in the 80th minute of the match. Norman Davies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Euan Knox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jack McShimes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
