Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ben Haggart made the kick off which started today's match. Jason Davies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gus McFadzean in the 3rd minute of the match. Eric Berry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jason Davies tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bishopton's Jason Davies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Haggart in the 10th minute of play. Jason Davies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Haggart, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute Kenny Fraser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan McKenzie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kenny Fraser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bishopton's Rob Howison got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Bishopton's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Haggart came free, but Jason Davies reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenny Fraser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Duncan McKenzie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rob Howison might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duncan McKenzie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rob Howison ran back to his position shaking his head. Rob Howison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Rob Howison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bishopton's supporters rose to their feet, but Rob Howison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duncan McKenzie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kenny Fraser stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eric Berry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Davies having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bishopton's zone, Ben Haggart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jason Davies came out of the goal and Ben Haggart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jason Davies was a little too slow when Ben Haggart got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-1. Rob Howison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Duncan McKenzie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Dalkeith FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciaran French. Jason Davies took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Haggart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Ben Haggart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73rd play minutes Eric Berry shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Jason Davies and just under the crossbar into goal. Dalkeith FC's Duncan McKenzie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Fraser in the 83rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Rob Howison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan McKenzie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalkeith FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
