Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Greig Linklater made the kick off which started today's match. Freshwater United's Hugh Ewart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greig Linklater in the 4th minute of play. Bradley Stringer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Benjamin Gilbertson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bradley Stringer came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Freshwater United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradley Stringer couldn't finish the play. Benjamin Gilbertson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradley Stringer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matt McCook kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Bradley Stringer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Freshwater United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riverside United F.C the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Freshwater United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradley Stringer to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin Gilbertson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Ayson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Bradley Stringer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Freshwater United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradley Stringer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Lucas Dempster was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riverside United F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Freshwater United the free kick. In the 29th minute, Lucas Dempster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bradley Stringer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Dempster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradley Stringer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Gilbertson having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Riverside United F.C's Matt McCook got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Bradley Stringer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Freshwater United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradley Stringer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan McIock's late challenge caught a Freshwater United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan McIock helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Riverside United F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan McIock to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin Gilbertson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Ayson in the 48th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Andy Ayson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Greig Linklater shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugh Ewart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bradley Stringer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Gilbertson having to make a save. Hugh Ewart didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Greig Linklater went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Bradley Stringer struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Benjamin Gilbertson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freshwater United. In the 78th minute, Bradley Stringer fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benjamin Gilbertson, passed just outside the right post. If Greig Linklater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bradley Stringer hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Matt McCook hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Hamish Davenport was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Andy Ayson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
