Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Owen Innes started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Patrick Lauchlan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dundee FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanark the free kick. Patrick Lauchlan kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ricky Douglas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Joshua Denune tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 9 minutes, Owen Innes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Owen Innes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joe Crombie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calum Grier in the 10th minute of play. Calum Grier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Crombie having to interfere. Joshua Denune showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricky Douglas in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lanark's Darius McGreusich got a free kick in the 21st minute. Ronald Greusach kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to Lanark getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Craig McTary hit a great ball. The supporters of Lanark booed when Dundee FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ron Gilbride didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darius McGreusich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Joe Crombie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricky Douglas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joshua Denune came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricky Douglas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute, Calum Grier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lanark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Calum Grier succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2.

Joe Crombie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Innes in the 52nd minute of play. If Owen Innes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joe Crombie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calum Grier in the 58th minute. Darius McGreusich in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joe Crombie, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 63 minutes into the game, Darius McGreusich lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Joe Crombie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Craig McTary in the 66th minute of play forced Dundee FC's goalkeeper Joe Crombie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lanark's Darius McGreusich got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calum Grier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joe Crombie having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Joe Crombie successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 77th minute, Hamish McKee fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Calum Grier came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joe Crombie could save by the left post. A collision led to Dundee FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ricky Douglas hit a great ball. Dundee FC's Joe Crombie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Dundee FC from getting a goal against them. Hamish McKee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius McGreusich in the 92nd minute of play forced Dundee FC's goalkeeper Joe Crombie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Lanark could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dundee FC throughout the match.
