With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rupert McCall in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joe Crombie saved Dundee FC from getting behind. Shane McFie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Douglas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 minutes, Drew McKintosh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barga FC and the Dundee FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Barga FC's Drew McKintosh got a free kick in the 10th minute. Ricky Douglas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dundee FC's Joe Crombie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert McCall in the 14th minute of play. Ronald Greusach charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronald Greusach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ronald Greusach kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Neil Robb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dundee FC's Joe Crombie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert McCall in the 20th minute of play. Neil Robb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Crombie having to interfere. Joe Crombie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Robb in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Dundee FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ronald Greusach hit a great ball. Rod Tawse was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ronald Greusach hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Neil Robb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neil Robb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricky Douglas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Shane McFie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Barga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Drew McKintosh to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes into the match, Rupert McCall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joe Crombie. Dundee FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rupert McCall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Malcolm Kinnieson hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The supporters of Dundee FC booed when Barga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Robb didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joe Crombie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rupert McCall's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Neil Robb who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Joe Crombie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dundee FC's Joe Crombie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert McCall in the 68th minute of play. Joe Crombie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rupert McCall's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Dundee FC's Joe Crombie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Dundee FC from getting a goal against them. Shane McFie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Balmer in the 73rd minute of the match. If Rupert McCall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Christopher Balmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane McFie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Balmer in the 83rd minute of play forced Barga FC's goalkeeper Shane McFie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dundee FC's Joe Crombie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Dundee FC from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Barga FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dundee FC.
