Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) When Liam McCluskie in the 3rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Alexander Lindsay kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor Armstrong in the 6th minute of play forced Garve's goalkeeper Benjamin McNab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Callum Morris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin McNab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Garve's zone, Callum Morris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin McNab came out of the goal and Callum Morris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Kelty booed when Garve was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frankie Denoon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin McNab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Callum Morris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bob Comine hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Gregor Armstrong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin McNab. Garve's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregor Armstrong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Kelty's Callum Morris got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Parlane took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benjamin McNab. Garve's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Frankie Denoon kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Garve's Benjamin McNab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Morris in the 41st minute of play. Callum Morris struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Benjamin McNab didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kelty. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Liam McCluskie made the kick off in the second half. Callum Morris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin McNab having to interfere. Frankie Denoon got in the 54th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Alexander Lindsay handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Frankie Denoon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Kelty's Reece Docharty tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 62 played minutes Kelty got a freekick which was hit by Gregor Armstrong. Liam McCluskie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alexander Lindsay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin McNab made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gregor Armstrong in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute, Callum Morris fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gregor Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Callum Morris got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Callum Morris in the 78th minute of play forced Garve's goalkeeper Benjamin McNab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Callum Morris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin McNab having to interfere. When Callum Morris came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Kelty fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Callum Morris couldn't finish the play. Callum Morris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gregor Armstrong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liam McCluskie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Garve getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Gavin McKelloch hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Kelty players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
