Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Freddie Gillon started the match with the kick off. Archie Neish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Lindsay having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricky Simson during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute of the match Reece Docharty shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rod McAngus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Kelty booed when Falkirk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quentin McGill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kelty's Reece Docharty shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rod McAngus but with some difficulty. Freddie Gillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19thth minute of the game Callum Morris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Falkirk's Rod McAngus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kelty's Callum Morris got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rod McAngus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Callum Morris, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute of the match, Callum Morris tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rod McAngus saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Freddie Gillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Falkirk fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Falkirk's Archie Neish looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Falkirk's goalkeeper Rod McAngus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

After a rather tough play, Kelty's Richard McWhannell got a free kick in the 70th minute. Kelty's Alexander Lindsay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Kelty from getting a goal against them. Rod McAngus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregor Armstrong's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Alexander Lindsay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Gillon in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Kelty booed when Falkirk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archie Neish didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falkirk's Archie Neish was, in the 91st minute, rewarded a free kick which he blasted straight towards the goal. The goalkeeper seemed frozen by the shot, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went outside of the right post. Falkirk's Rod McAngus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Morris in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Falkirk had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
