The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iain Sorely took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Callum Morris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Element Zero's Iain Sorely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Morris in the 9th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Gregor Armstrong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iain Sorely. Element Zero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregor Armstrong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Andy McSorley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute, Gregor Armstrong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kelty fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 30 played minutes Element Zero got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Mennie. Callum Morris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Element Zero's Will McFater got a free kick in the 34th minute. Element Zero's Iain Sorely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Morris in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wayne Bowmaker in the 46th minute of play forced Element Zero's goalkeeper Iain Sorely to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, Callum Morris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
54 minutes into the game, Andy McSorley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexander Lindsay. Andy McSorley showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 59thth minute of the game Callum Morris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Element Zero's Iain Sorely was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Ter McPhadden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dougal Cross hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Gregor Armstrong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iain Sorely having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Callum Morris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iain Sorely was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. 70 minutes into the game, Freddie Mennie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Element Zero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kelty the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joshua McPhadden got free with Alexander Lindsay in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 73 played minutes Kelty got a freekick which was hit by Wayne Bowmaker. After 75 played minutes Kelty got a freekick which was hit by Gregor Armstrong. Callum Morris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Iain Sorely tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dougal Cross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iain Sorely took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Callum Morris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kelty had played much better football throughout.
