Avoch's Kenny Wharrie got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Terence McAskill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tain's Aidan Risk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Wharrie in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Avoch's goal looked a bit too open when Terence McAskill came free, but Sean Elliott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rick McEachern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Avoch's goal looked a bit too open when Euan Edwards came free, but Sean Elliott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Quentin Beath's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sean Elliott was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Ewan Lennie hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Kenny Wharrie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Avoch's Rick McEachern got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norman McComas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aidan Risk having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Kenny Wharrie took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Aidan Risk to make any attempt to save it. Euan Edwards's late challenge caught a Avoch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Euan Edwards helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Euan Edwards hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 46 minutes, Rick McEachern managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avoch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rick McEachern was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

In the 54th minute, Billy Reoch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean Elliott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terence McAskill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Rick McEachern ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aidan Risk was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Aidan Risk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Wharrie in the 64th minute of the match. When Kenny Wharrie came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Avoch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenny Wharrie couldn't finish the play. Aidan Risk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Wharrie in the 73rd minute of the match. After 76 minutes, Euan Edwards made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Avoch's Sean Elliott tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Euan Edwards hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute Rick McEachern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aidan Risk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Avoch's Sean Elliott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Euan Edwards in the 83rd minute of play. Euan Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Sean Elliott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Kenny Wharrie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aidan Risk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Terence McAskill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Avoch's Sean Elliott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Avoch from getting a goal against them. Avoch's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
