Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Grant Gordon took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tyler McThomas scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keith Abbott, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Keith Abbott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Baptist in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute Eddie Baptist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keith Abbott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Biggar of the North booed when Port Edinburgh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Tosh didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Port Edinburgh AFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Stewart McNayer hit a great ball. Eddie Baptist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keith Abbott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Morar, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 26th minute, Davie Dyson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the match Joe Mathie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keith Abbott showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Biggar of the North defense, Denis Morar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keith Abbott. The Biggar of the North fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keith Abbott should have stopped the shot. Grant Gordon took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony McHarold. Tony McHarold dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyler McThomas in the 36th minute of play forced Biggar of the North's goalkeeper Keith Abbott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Biggar of the North's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Baptist came free, but Keith Abbott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Port Edinburgh AFC's Tony McHarold proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Port Edinburgh AFC from getting a goal against them. Keith Abbott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Morar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Denis Morar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tyler McThomas was the one to do the kick off. Biggar of the North's Grant Gordon got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Grant Gordon fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Biggar of the North's protests and gave Grant Gordon a yellow card for diving instead. Tyler McThomas had several of the Biggar of the North's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Keith Abbott as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tyler McThomas got free with Keith Abbott in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Keith Abbott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Morar, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Tyler McThomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Port Edinburgh AFC made a substitution. Alan McKerlich replaced Denis Morar. Eddie Baptist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tyler McThomas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 75th playminute. Keith Abbott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan McKerlich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Port Edinburgh AFC's Tony McHarold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymond McPherson in the 81st minute of play. Eddie Baptist hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Grant Gordon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony McHarold having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Port Edinburgh AFC's Tyler McThomas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Keith Abbott. That made the score 1-6 after 94 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Port Edinburgh AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Biggar of the North.
