Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Mancebas's David Pinto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafael Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After some careless play in the SC Algodres defense, David Pinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Nogueira. The SC Algodres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Nogueira should have stopped the shot. Cândido Azevedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Cristóvão Sousa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 14th minute, SC Algodres's Catarino Maia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in SC Algodres's zone, David Pinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Nogueira came out of the goal and David Pinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Pinto in the 22nd minute of play forced SC Algodres's goalkeeper Rafael Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, SC Algodres's Catarino Maia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristóvão Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafael Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Pinto in the 29th minute of the match. Cândido Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Cristóvão Sousa made a huge save. Cândido Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Andrade took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristóvão Sousa. Cristóvão Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some careless play in the SC Mancebas defense, Catarino Maia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristóvão Sousa. The SC Mancebas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristóvão Sousa should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Catarino Maia to make the kick off. Rafael Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. SC Algodres's Rafael Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Pinto in the 66th minute of play. If Carlos Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Catarino Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Azevedo in the 93rd minute of play forced SC Mancebas's goalkeeper Cristóvão Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Catarino Maia came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SC Algodres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Maia couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Algodres fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Mancebas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
