Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Aranhas SLB's Bengt-Rune Ivarsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Aranhas SLB's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Junqueira came free, but Lúcio Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute José Ramires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Caneira in the 10th minute of play forced Aranhas SLB's goalkeeper Lúcio Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt-Rune Ivarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octávio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Óscar Gonçalves in the 20th minute of play. Aranhas SLB were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Cubos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Monteiro took the corner. The corner ended in Alberto Monteiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cubos's Octávio Passos did a great save. In the 24th minute, Edgar Caneira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Avelino Lameiras during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Cubos got a freekick which was hit by Avelino Lameiras. The supporters of Cubos booed when Aranhas SLB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Bengt-Rune Ivarsson sped through Cubos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Octávio Passos. After a defensive mix-up in Cubos's zone, Bengt-Rune Ivarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octávio Passos came out of the goal and Bengt-Rune Ivarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leandro Junqueira to strike the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Rune Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Octávio Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cubos getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Avelino Lameiras hit a great ball. Edgar Caneira kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With his leg Lúcio Costa managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Cubos's José Ramires fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Aranhas SLB getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Bento Barbosa hit a great ball. Octávio Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt-Rune Ivarsson in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octávio Passos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Bento Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aranhas SLB's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octávio Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aranhas SLB's Lúcio Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Aranhas SLB from getting a goal against them. Lúcio Costa made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when José Ramires sent off a good shot on target. Lúcio Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Ramires went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 79 minutes in the game Hermes Caires did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Edgar Caneira. 80 minutes into the game, Avelino Lameiras recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lúcio Costa. Avelino Lameiras showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 83rd minute, Bengt-Rune Ivarsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aranhas SLB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Octávio Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Ivarsson in the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Ramires got free with Lúcio Costa in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cubos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Aranhas SLB.
