Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Infantes's Humberto Barbosa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Infantes's Gabriel Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angélico Prates in the 14th minute of play. Jaime Paiva hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Angélico Prates's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Simões was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When Zarco Vilaverde fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caldas da Rainha SC's protests and gave Zarco Vilaverde a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caldas da Rainha SC! The excitement rose when SC Infantes's Rui Moniz after 25 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Caldas da Rainha SC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in SC Infantes's zone, Jorge Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Simões came out of the goal and Jorge Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Cláudio Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angélico Prates made a kick off. Carlos Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Hermes Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vítor Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Humberto Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Vale succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 63rd playminute. After a rather tough play, Caldas da Rainha SC's Carlos Queirós got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Cláudio Vale came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the SC Infantes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Vale couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Barbosa in the 70th minute of play forced Caldas da Rainha SC's goalkeeper Vítor Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Óscar Silva hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Vítor Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Barbosa in the 90th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Angélico Prates had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Simões. SC Infantes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angélico Prates was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4.
