Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Basílio Vaz took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Basílio Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Machado in the 7th minute of play forced Simantorta's goalkeeper Cristóvão Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Matias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Teixeira having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Vagos FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Teixeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Marques. Cristóvão Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Simantorta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adolfo Nunes was slow to take the kick. During this time Vagos FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Vagos FC's Adolfo Nunes to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristóvão Santos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alexandre Teixeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Marques in the 24th minute. Alexandre Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Matias's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Joaquim Marques came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alexandre Teixeira could save by the left post. Pedro Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Alexandre Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Marques in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexandre Teixeira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Joel Pedroso hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Vagos FC's Adolfo Nunes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Matias in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Matias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Vagos FC's zone, Joaquim Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Teixeira came out of the goal and Joaquim Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Vagos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Marques came free, but Alexandre Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes Simantorta got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Marques. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Pedro Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simantorta's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Matias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 played minutes Simantorta got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Lima. Cristóvão Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Vaz in the 76th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Basílio Vaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristóvão Santos was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After 79 played minutes Simantorta got a freekick which was hit by Luís Freitas. Basílio Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Cristóvão Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. A collision led to Vagos FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ricardo Assunção hit a great ball. Pedro Matias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Teixeira having to interfere. If Pedro Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 94 played minutes Vagos FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Marques. After recieving a nice pass, Simantorta's Basílio Lima tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 99th minute Pedro Matias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
