Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Inácio Guerreiro started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Faria got free with Jarbas Pimenta in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Faria succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 4th playminute. Paulo Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Correia hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Avelino Castilho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Delfim Salgado charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim Salgado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pitaranha FC booed when Terlamonte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Fontes's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Jarbas Pimenta on his right side and into the goal. 20 minutes into the game it was 2-0. Jarbas Pimenta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inácio Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Pimenta having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Terlamonte's Delfim Salgado got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Inácio Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute Sebastião Bessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd match minute, Pitaranha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Correia to maneuver through the defense. Israel Sacramento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Guerreiro in the 59th minute of play forced Terlamonte's goalkeeper Jarbas Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Israel Sacramento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Terlamonte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 66 minutes, Adolfo Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pitaranha FC and the Terlamonte players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Israel Sacramento came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Terlamonte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Sacramento couldn't finish the play. A hard shot by Cândido Esteves from long distance, 71 minutes into the match, got Rafael Assis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 80thth minute of the game Inácio Guerreiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terlamonte's Jarbas Pimenta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jarbas Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Faria in the 84th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Fernando Faria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarbas Pimenta was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. If Inácio Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Faria hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Pitaranha FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
