Vicente Leal came out of the goal and Joaquim Pádua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Viriato Gueifão was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when João Cruz made the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to BorussiaDoutroMundo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Aquilino Leão hit a great ball. Fábio Magalhães's late challenge caught a SC Amial Progresso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fábio Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, BorussiaDoutroMundo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. Viriato Gueifão was in a good position and ended up with the ball after SC Amial Progresso's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, João Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, SC Amial Progresso's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Pádua came free, but Vicente Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
