Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gusmão Graça to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gusmão Graça in the 70th minute of play forced SC Vagos's goalkeeper Aloísio Zarco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Zarco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gusmão Graça, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Aloísio Zarco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gusmão Graça in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gusmão Graça in the 81st minute of play forced SC Vagos's goalkeeper Aloísio Zarco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, SC Alte's goal looked a bit too open when Gusmão Peixoto came free, but Avelino Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Alte's goalkeeper Avelino Linhares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raimundo Caneira hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Gusmão Graça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aloísio Zarco having to make a save. After having played for 94 minutes, Gusmão Graça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Alte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gusmão Graça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Alte's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
