Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Amadeu Monteiro kicked off to start the match. Amadeu Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 4th match minute, Sporting do Barreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Portugal to maneuver through the defense. Julião Lobo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amadeu Monteiro went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Amadeu Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julião Lobo having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Sporting do Barreiro got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Seixas. Julião Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Monteiro in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, F.C.FÂNZERES 31's Fernando Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julião Lobo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 29th minute Tarcísio Lameiras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julião Lobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Carlos Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Pedro Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Sporting do Barreiro's Egídio Brochado got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half F.C.FÂNZERES 31 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tarcísio Lameiras was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Sporting do Barreiro's Virgílio Portugal got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting do Barreiro's goalkeeper Julião Lobo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sporting do Barreiro's Julião Lobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Amaral in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting do Barreiro's zone, Fernando Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julião Lobo came out of the goal and Fernando Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeu Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Julião Lobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Henrique Belo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting do Barreiro and the F.C.FÂNZERES 31 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting do Barreiro's zone, Fernando Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julião Lobo came out of the goal and Fernando Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcísio Lameiras in the 74th minute of the match. Amadeu Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Julião Lobo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C.FÂNZERES 31. After having played for 79 minutes, Fernando Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C.FÂNZERES 31's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcísio Lameiras, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Fernando Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F.C.FÂNZERES 31's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
