Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Patrício Seixas started the match with the kick off. Julião Lobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrício Seixas, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Aparício Amado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Álvaro Álvares. When Sporting do Barreiro's Tarcísio Lameiras in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montargil's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot by Álvaro Álvares from long distance, 13 minutes into the match, got Aparício Amado's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cristiano Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With a little luck, Montargil's Aparício Amado got control of the ball when Carlos Ferreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Aparício Amado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting do Barreiro. Tarcísio Lameiras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aparício Amado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcísio Lameiras in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Montargil getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Cristiano Fonseca hit a great ball. Patrício Seixas hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, Tarcísio Lameiras recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aparício Amado. Tarcísio Lameiras showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tarcísio Lameiras made a kick off. Montargil's Aparício Amado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcísio Lameiras in the 57th minute of play. Isac Campelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Julião Lobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Montargil's Julião Lobo threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patrício Seixas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tarcísio Lameiras in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aparício Amado saved Montargil from getting behind. Isac Campelo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julião Lobo came out and tried to block the shot, but Isac Campelo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 68th minute. Carlos Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aparício Amado having to interfere. Aparício Amado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcísio Lameiras in the 75th minute of play. Isac Campelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julião Lobo having to interfere. Julião Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrício Seixas in the 83rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Montargil's zone, Heitor Seixas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aparício Amado came out of the goal and Heitor Seixas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Tarcísio Lameiras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Carlos Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aparício Amado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Montargil booed when Sporting do Barreiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Belo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isac Campelo took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julião Lobo. Julião Lobo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Sporting do Barreiro supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Montargil's performance. The match ended with a win for Montargil.
