Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rui Paiva kicked off to start the match. JD Meinedo's Alfredo Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Reis in the 3rd minute of play. After 6 minutes, Rodrigo Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JD Meinedo and the Luizeira players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Luizeira booed when JD Meinedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Luizeira's João Fonseca tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, JD Meinedo's Daniel Garcia got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute of the match João Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Castro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to JD Meinedo getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fernando Esteves hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Luizeira's zone, Rui Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Gomes came out of the goal and Rui Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Daniel Santarém notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Luizeira's Jorge Gomes. Jorge Gomes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the match, Vasco Assis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Castro. JD Meinedo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vasco Assis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Alfredo Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasco Assis in the 28th minute of play. Rui Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Gomes having to interfere. Jorge Gomes had great luck who in the 35thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rui Paiva from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jorge Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Rui Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Gomes was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Rui Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Gomes having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Reis to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Ferro in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute, Daniel Santarém got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Gomes having to interfere. After 73 minutes of play, JD Meinedo's António Leite made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Luizeira getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Humberto Ferro hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Rui Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. JD Meinedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the match, Luizeira's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Paiva came free, but Jorge Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
