In the 7th minute, Vasco Delgado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ilídio Severiano, passed just outside the right post. 9 minutes into the game, José Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lentiscais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Os Goulds the free kick. José Alves hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Lentiscais's Pedro Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Diegues in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, SC Os Goulds's goal looked a bit too open when José Alves came free, but Ilídio Severiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sílvio Regalado fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Os Goulds's protests and gave Sílvio Regalado a yellow card for diving instead. Sílvio Regalado hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. José Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ilídio Severiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Júdice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that João Diegues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Macedo was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

João Diegues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Macedo having to make a save. Pedro Macedo made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when João Diegues sent off a good shot on target. If Teodoro Júdice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, João Diegues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lentiscais's goalkeeper Pedro Macedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Os Goulds's Teodoro Júdice got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, João Diegues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Os Goulds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. João Diegues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. In the 87th match minute, Lentiscais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Lentiscais's Pedro Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Lentiscais from getting a goal against them.
