Henrique Domingues struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Paulo Resende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ladreda. Lourenço Pereira came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristóvão Aleixo could save by the left post. Cristóvão Aleixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Simões in the 10th minute of play. When Ladreda's António Gomes in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sete's goalie prevented a goal. 15 minutes into the match, Ladreda's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Freitas came free, but Cristóvão Aleixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, António Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Leiria in the 22nd minute of play forced Sete's goalkeeper Paulo Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ladreda's Cristóvão Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Freitas in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Ladreda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Sousa to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Xavier Valente from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Cristóvão Aleixo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Diogo Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Sete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diogo Freitas couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Freitas in the 39th minute of play forced Ladreda's goalkeeper Cristóvão Aleixo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sete's Paulo Resende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Gomes in the 40th minute of play. António Gomes might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Resende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. António Gomes ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diogo Freitas to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Xavier Valente shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristóvão Aleixo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. José Brás's late challenge caught a Sete's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Brás helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ladreda's José Brás got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute Xavier Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Aleixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristóvão Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 61st match minute, Ladreda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Resende to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, António Gomes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Resende. Sete's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that António Gomes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Américo Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sete's supporters rose to their feet, but Américo Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristóvão Aleixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristóvão Aleixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Delgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristóvão Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Henrique Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 minutes of play, Ladreda's Henrique Leiria made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Resende was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 81 minutes, Joaquim Delgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sete and the Ladreda players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ladreda's Rafael Garcia was substituted for Rogério Resende. The supporters of Ladreda booed when Sete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Resende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of António Gomes's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Domingues in the 86th minute of play forced Sete's goalkeeper Paulo Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rafael Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ladreda's protests and gave Rafael Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ladreda getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Rafael Garcia hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Ladreda's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Freitas came free, but Cristóvão Aleixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ladreda walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
