Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Leal Brochado made the kick off which started today's match. Paulo Resende came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Sabugos's Leal Brochado. But to his dismay, Leal Brochado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Augusto Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A hard shot by Xavier Valente from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Adalberto Guarda's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 19 minutes into the match, Diogo Freitas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adalberto Guarda, 1-1. When Sandro Campos came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Campos couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Diogo Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adalberto Guarda was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. A hard shot by Eusébio Moniz from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Adalberto Guarda's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leal Brochado in the 30th minute of play forced Sete's goalkeeper Paulo Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Eusébio Moniz in the 35th minute really tested Adalberto Guarda's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Sabugos's zone, Sandro Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Guarda came out of the goal and Sandro Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diogo Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Guarda having to interfere. Sandro Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Adalberto Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalberto Guarda didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diogo Freitas to make the kick off. Adalberto Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. A collision led to SC Sabugos getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Olavo Quadros hit a great ball. After 56 minutes, Bernardo Lamego mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Sabugos and the Sete players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sete booed when SC Sabugos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Lamego didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandro Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Guarda having to interfere. If Adriano Ponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Diogo Freitas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adalberto Guarda. SC Sabugos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diogo Freitas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Sandro Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Ponte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Paulo Resende made a huge save. If Adriano Ponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leal Brochado struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Paulo Resende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Sabugos. SC Sabugos's Adalberto Guarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Campos in the 88th minute of play. Adriano Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
