In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fato's goalkeeper Humberto Pires, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adriano Chagas's late challenge caught a FC Cerveja fresquinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adriano Chagas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Cerveja fresquinha booed when Fato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Chagas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Daniel Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Vargas hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Alcides Padilha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Daniel Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alcides Padilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Telmo Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Telmo Valadares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Telmo Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Fato's Renato Gentil fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. A collision led to FC Cerveja fresquinha getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Domingos Mourinho hit a great ball. Daniel Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A nice corner shot did that Lucas Simões got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Filinto Brás quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. FC Cerveja fresquinha's Filinto Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Gentil in the 55th minute of play. If Martinho Modesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alcides Padilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Pires having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Daniel Ribeiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Humberto Pires, passed just outside the right post. Filinto Brás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Gentil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 played minutes FC Cerveja fresquinha got a freekick which was hit by Claudemiro Boaventura. After a rather tough play, FC Cerveja fresquinha's Telmo Valadares got a free kick in the 90th minute.
