In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rasta Squad's goalkeeper Evandro Ventura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rasta Squad's Evandro Ventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Rocha in the 13th minute of play. Evandro Ventura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Paiva in the 17th minute of the match. When Paulo Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the SC Azurva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Rocha couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Alcides Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evandro Ventura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. A collision led to SC Azurva getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. José Bessa hit a great ball. If Adérito Mourão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes, Gaspar Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Azurva and the Rasta Squad players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rasta Squad booed when SC Azurva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Azurva's zone, Alcides Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Guarda came out of the goal and Alcides Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evandro Ventura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Azurva booed when Rasta Squad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Santarém didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mauro Santarém made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Paulo Rocha collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. After 53 played minutes Rasta Squad got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Santarém. 62 minutes into the match, Rasta Squad's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Paiva came free, but Evandro Ventura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evandro Ventura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inácio Aveiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Guarda having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rasta Squad's goalkeeper Evandro Ventura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute, SC Azurva's Paulo Paiva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Evandro Ventura. Evandro Ventura yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. 82 minutes into the game, Adérito Mourão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rasta Squad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Azurva the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Adérito Mourão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evandro Ventura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Paiva went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Paulo Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Rasta Squad supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Azurva's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Azurva.
