After some careless play in the Aliados FC defense, Teófilo Guimarães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simão Pereira. The Aliados FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simão Pereira should have stopped the shot. Claudemiro Ribas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Simão Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aliados FC's Simão Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teófilo Guimarães in the 43rd minute of play. When Claudemiro Ribas came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Oleiros Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudemiro Ribas couldn't finish the play. The Aliados FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oleiros Futebol Clube were winning 0-2.
