Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mário Domingues started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Cristoval FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Couto came free, but Nuno Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cristoval FC's zone, Mário Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Faria came out of the goal and Mário Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Domingues in the 13th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Mário Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Regadio's Mário Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquim Laureano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Faria having to interfere. Daniel Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Tavares having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Cristoval FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Reis to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, SC Regadio's Tobias Moutinho tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Domingues in the 34th minute of play forced Cristoval FC's goalkeeper Nuno Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Tavares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Freitas in the 37th minute. Daniel Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui Tavares having to make a save. After having played for 46 minutes, Cândido Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cristoval FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cândido Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cândido Fernandes was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Laureano's late challenge caught a Cristoval FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Laureano helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 minutes, João Matias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cristoval FC and the SC Regadio players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cristoval FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. João Matias hit a great ball. Daniel Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Tavares having to interfere. When Joaquim Laureano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. In the 64th minute, Joaquim Laureano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Rui Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cristoval FC's Daniel Freitas in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Regadio's goalie prevented a goal. Eurico Rangel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rogério Novais fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Regadio's protests and gave Rogério Novais a yellow card for diving instead. Rogério Novais kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Cândido Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cândido Fernandes in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in SC Regadio's zone, Emanuel Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Tavares came out of the goal and Emanuel Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Regadio's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
