Duarte Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Morcheeba's André Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Morcheeba from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Morcheeba's André Ferreira got control of the ball when Nuno Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Ramos in the 12th minute of play forced Morcheeba's goalkeeper André Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Pedroso in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Morcheeba's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Gomes came free, but André Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Gomes in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Eusébio Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute Eusébio Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Ferreira was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Jorge Gomes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorge Gomes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Mário Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Morcheeba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Pedroso couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the game, Luís Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cubos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morcheeba the free kick. Vicente Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Nunes in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Eusébio Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Mário Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morcheeba's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Pedroso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Pedroso in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Figueiredo saved Cubos from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mário Pedroso to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Morcheeba defense, Eusébio Trindade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Ferreira. The Morcheeba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Ferreira should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute, Jorge Gomes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cubos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Álvaro Leiria hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Jorge Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Ferreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 72nd minute, Morcheeba's Mário Pedroso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. Mário Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Mário Pedroso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Vicente Figueiredo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mário Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. André Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lourenço Marques during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 88 minutes into the match, Nuno Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Ferreira. Morcheeba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Morcheeba's Álvaro Leiria got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95thth minute of the game Mário Pedroso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cubos's Vicente Figueiredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cubos had played much better football throughout.
