Caio Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The long shot by Filipe Aleixo in the 21st minute really tested Severino Abreu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Severino Abreu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastião Porto's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Zarco Fragoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Valido was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Vinagre fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Pisoes. Filipe Aleixo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Severino Abreu. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastião Porto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pisoes's Sérgio Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Pisoes from getting a goal against them. Sebastião Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Abreu having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Júlio Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severino Abreu was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the game, Heitor Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pisoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Vinagre the free kick. Pisoes's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastião Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Abreu having to interfere. Sílvio Bessa kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastião Porto in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Júlio Vale came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Pisoes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Vale couldn't finish the play. Severino Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Pisoes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
