Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Júlio Azevedo kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, SC Montinhos's Leo Izotz got a free kick in the 7th minute. SC Montinhos's Jorge Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Moreira's late challenge caught a SC Montinhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. Leo Izotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Jorge Matos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Leo Izotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Gonçalves having to interfere. The supporters of Gibraltar booed when SC Montinhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Guarda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gibraltar's Pedro Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Izotz in the 33rd minute of play. Jorge Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. When Leo Izotz came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SC Montinhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Izotz couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes in the game, Jorge Matos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pedro Gonçalves having to interfere. Jorge Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pedro Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Montinhos's Joaquim Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Lopes in the 45th minute of play. Rui Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Xavier Magalhães might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xavier Magalhães ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Izotz made a kick off. After a rather tough play, SC Montinhos's Roger Arenstedt got a free kick in the 54th minute. Joaquim Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xavier Magalhães in the 55th minute. Júlio Azevedo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Joaquim Sousa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 73 minutes into the game, Mateo Aureo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pedro Gonçalves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Aureo in the 77th minute of the match. Mateo Aureo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Leo Izotz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Leo Izotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Leo Izotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Montinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Izotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Azevedo in the 92nd minute of play. Pedro Gonçalves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leo Izotz went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the SC Montinhos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
